The Friends of Stadium Woods, students, faculty and community members presented a printed copy of more than 6400 signatures and comments (as of May 1, 2012) to the office of President Steger. The petition continues to increase at a rapid rate and will remain active until the Stadium Woods is permanently protected. No one from the administration would appear to accept the petition. The dozens of people waited for 35 minutes and read comments out loud from the petition. Channel WSLS 10 filmed the crowd in the presidents waiting area. Rebekah Paulson and Jeff Kirwan presented the petition to the presidents receptionist. Afterwards the group unrolled a copy of the petition spanning 340 feet.
